Jenn has been teaching yoga regularly since the studio opened and teaches a style of hatha yoga that is based on her training with Noah Mazé Yoga and with Christina Sell. Jenn also loves to teach Restorative yoga, meditation, gentle stretching & breathing. Her training and path also includes being a professional Middle Eastern Dancer (aka Belly Dance). | AMANDA GISH, Yoga Instructor When she was first introduced to yoga, Amanda quickly discovered how calming, grounding, and fun it can be! She began a regular yoga practice and completed her 200 hour training at The Yurt in Brentwood, which emphasized yoga therapy. By incorporating therapeutic movements into her teaching, Amanda aims to make her classes challenging and injury free. She is thrilled to be able to share her enthusiasm for yoga with her students. |
| BETHANY LILES, Yoga Instructor (Kids & Adults) Bethany's path to yoga started several years ago with a free class, after the third class she knew she was hooked. Her yoga practice has helped her cultivate a balance of peace and strength. She completed her teacher training at The Triad Yoga Institute in Greensboro NC in 2004-2005 and is a RYT-200. She believes yoga is accessible to everyone regardless of limitations. She has taught kids, seniors, and all ages in between. Her preferred style is Hatha yoga with an Iyengar influence. She hopes to share her love and knowledge of yoga with everyone she meets and encourages her students to practice with an open heart and a sense of humor. One of her favorite things is seeing people smile after savasana. |
| BOW SAVIKUL, Yoga Instructor Bow knows yoga! She is a certified instructor who came to yoga after the birth of her child a few years ago. As a teacher, her number one priority is to help her students remember to breathe. Bow says breath is your foundation in yoga. Let the experience of breath-meeting-body-and-mind be the bliss. | JANET OTTERSBERG, Yoga Instructor With a playful spirit, Janet is dedicated to teaching the value of using principles of alignment to create advanced yoga practice. Her own path in yoga began in 1999 when looking for a way to relieve chronic pain following a car accident, she discovered Anusara yoga. The path of yoga not only lead her out of pain and back to an active life, but reconnected her to the happiness she felt in helping others. As a 500-RYT yoga teacher, An Occupational Therapist, Certified massage therapist and trained in dance and healing movement she shares her knowledge of self-healing, joyful living and the importance of taking your yoga off the mat and into your daily life. |
| TREVOR THROOP, Yoga Instructor Trevor is a Vinyasa based instructor and Yoga Therapist. He loves to blend therapeutic techniques into the graceful movement of flow Yoga. Trevor feels lucky that his near 10 year path with Yoga has led him to study with the inspiring teachers at the White Lotus Foundation and in Loyola Marymount's Yoga Therapy Rx Program. He hopes that he can bring some of the inspiration his teachers have given him into his classes. | TAMRA-HENNA, Reiki Master / Belly Dance Teacher Tamra-henna has spent many years studying the art and science of movement. She spent several years in the Middle East, studying and then working as a professional Middle Eastern dancer. She holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Dance at UCLA, and is also a Reiki Master. Her studies have given her a deeper understanding of the energetic connections within the body and the link between the mental and the physical. She brings this knowledge to every class, helping students to work at their own level, while gently opening both body and mind to new possibilities. Reiki is energy work. | SANTOSH KAUR KHALSA, Kundalini Yoga Instructor Santosh is a IKYTA certified Kundalini Yoga instructor. Nine years ago she walked into her first Kundalini Yoga class and was transformed forever. Through the practice of this ancient yogic technology she was able to heal and elevate all aspects of her life, and it was this profound experience that inspired her to become a teacher. Santosh's classes incorporate posture,breath, mantra, meditation, and the powerful vibration of the gong, allowing students to develop their meditative mind and have an expanded experience of health and happiness. |

She comes from a psychology background and is regularly amazed at our bodies natural ability to heal itself and find strength. | LORI ANNE EDWARDS, Yoga Instructor Lori started practicing yoga at a young age after having been diagnosed with scoliosis. She found that with regular practice, yoga could change her body and her life. Lori teaches with kindness, humor, and an emphasis on proper form and good body mechanics. Lori believes that by practicing, even the beginner is a yogi, and she designs her classes so that everyone can participate at their own pace, regardless or their age, ability or level. | JENNIFER NETHERBY, Yoga Instructor Jennifer first tried yoga at an LA gym in 2000 and was hooked. Then her practice deepened in 2007, when after years spent behind a desk as a journalist she followed a dream and moved to Paris to write fiction. It was her yoga mat where she ended up turning daily, taking refuge to adjust to Parisian life and rethinking her own life. As much as yoga has been a life-saver for her, what she loves about yoga most is that it connects her to that place inside where she isn't trying to get somewhere or be the best, but is just enjoying this moment. | TERESA DIAZ, Yoga Instructor/Creator of Yoga en Español Teresa Diaz is a native from Mexico, and from an early age she learned about yoga by following her grandmother’s steps, a Yogini and follower of Paramahansa Yogananda. Teresa was exposed to the secrets of healthy eating, exercise and meditation, and in 2001, she began practicing yoga as a complement to a running and cycling routine. As a K-12 physical education teacher in Mexico and the United States, she instills the importance of a healthy body and mind through exercise and positive thinking. Teresa took this experience further with at-risk youth and college students, and now Latino adults with special health needs. |
